You haven't made it yet in all these years and you look like you are at least 75. It's time to pack it in and give up. You missed the boat a long time ago. It's time for the rocking chair and maybe play the Bassoon for your grandkids, if they will listen. You were lucky to have Larry Campbell play guitar for you, as he is your only savior!
For your own salvation, QUIT!
I have played bass with Jeff Beck, Les Paul (RIP), Bowie, Zappa, etc. so I know my stuff.
You really do suck. Not natural at all.
Your records suck! Unfortunatly I canīt get my money back! Itīs about to go in the bin!

You're not a virtuoso on the bassoon. You're right about one thing, the bassoon is a hard instrument to play. Big deal, every instrument is hard to play if you're honestly trying to perfect it. The fact that bebop patterns don't lay well on the bassoon doesn't give you the right to play the music poorly. Here's what I heard, bad time(rushing), bad sound, no real harmonic concept, no eveness from note to note. You're pretty cocky in your interviews but I hear everything. Every beat, every note and all the harmony. My advice to you is to please slow everything you do down and really learn it.
I am trying to find sheet music for the Reicha Bassoon and String Quartet -- I heard your recording this morning and loved it (both to listen and sounds fun to play).
Best,
Joe
Nice to meet you Daniel

I hear your name occasionally on WSHU, and I think 'I wonder if that guy knows what a Borgward is, and if he could fit in the back... Naahhh!' You probably just played oboe to please Lois Contino/Baker & Bob Kruger!
When I first heard your music I thought it was a Baritone sax and then it was told to me, no it's a bassoon, so cool A new bebop tool that sounded great. Please keep up the great work and I went out and got some of your music, Bebop bassoon and The Swinging Bassoon
and totally enjoy both.
